3-2-1 NEXT STEPS
Three congregations, across two sites, as one church — making space for more of South London to come to life in Jesus.
This has never been about a building. It's about making room for more — for more of the presence of God, for more people who don't yet know Jesus to come to life, and for a whole region to be awakened.
God has already done so much…
You gave — extraordinarily
The congregation's response to the 3-2-1 campaign has been remarkable. Together we've taken a huge step toward making space for more.
Site Pastors appointed — for both CV South & CV Central!
We’re delighted that Alex & Lara Lyne will lead CV South, and Gaby & Adam Ledger will lead CV Central… Meet them below!
The team is building
Dilia Goncalves will be joining us as Facilities & Operations Manager in August to oversee our new facility at No. 3 Old Palace Road.
More stories than ever
We're seeing the number — and the weight — of testimonies rising. There's a deeper sense of his presence among us, and we're grateful.
3 -
Three congregations
One family, gathering in more than one place.
We're growing from our current gatherings into three congregations — a Central Croydon community meeting on Sunday mornings, a brand-new South congregation, and room to keep multiplying as God adds to us.
Whichever one you call home, the heart is the same: the same Jesus, the same values, the same kids and youth content, the same welcome. Different rooms, different faces — one church.
2 - Two sites
A central home, and a family in the south of the borough
CV Central at Old Palace
A Monday-to-Sunday home in the heart of Croydon — a former school, reimagined as a hub for prayer, worship and transformation.
A worship auditorium built for encounter and conferencing; Dedicated rooms for kids and youth; A house of prayer and presence through the week; A midweek base for Vineyard English School and community ministriesSpace for the community, charities, creatives and local businesses
Led by Adam & Gaby, newly appointed as Site Pastors — with Gaby spending this first year training with Vineyard College. On Old Palace Road in central Croydon: walkable from East & West Croydon, on bus and tram routes, with on-site parking. We'll grow into the building in stages, with some spaces ready before others.
CV South
A new congregation with a warm, family feel for the south of the borough — not a smaller version of what we've done before, but its own community on mission.
Gathering together on Sunday mornings
Midweek life shared with the wider church at Old Palace
Led by Site Pastors raised up within our church family
Reaching new people with faith, worship and welcome
CV South will be led by Alex & Lara Lyne, newly appointed as Site Pastors.
1 - One church
Tom & Lesley Thompson, along with the Trustees and SLT will continue to lead the whole church - one church, one vision, one bank account, one website, one family. Connect Groups, friendships and many of our events will keep crossing the sites freely.
Where we are now…
We're in a season of real momentum — and real change. As we grow into Old Palace and get CV South underway, some steps will happen in stages rather than all at once. Seasons like this are exciting and a little bit messy. There'll be things we discern as we go, and moments that ask for patience, flexibility and prayer.
Right now
Foundations in place
Leaders appointed, teams forming, the building being secured. We're getting ready to move — and to move well.
The coming months
Growing into Old Palace
We'll find our home at Old Palace in stages, prayerfully working out the wisest, healthiest way to land it — rather than rushing everything at once.
By 2027
Fully 3·2·1
Three congregations, across two sites, as one church. Whatever the exact path there, that's the calling we're committed to.
Play your part…
There's a place for everyone in what God is doing amongst us. Here are four ways to step in today.
Pray
Contend with us
Join us in praying for awakening across Croydon, for the building, and for the people God is preparing to walk through the doors.
Serve
Happy to Help
Painting, building, welcoming, setting up — our next chapter will take a lot of hands. Put yours up and we'll find the right spot for you.
Give
Keep building
Your generosity has already carried us a long way. Regular and one-off giving keeps making space for more.

Good questions
What does 3·2·1 actually mean?
Three congregations, across two sites, as one church. It's how we're making space for more of South London to come to life in Jesus — without ever stopping being one family.
Is the original 3·2·1 page still live?
Yes. The original campaign page stays live for background and giving information — this page is the latest on where we're heading next.
When are we moving to Old Palace?
We're prayerfully working out the wisest, healthiest way — and the right timing — to move into Old Palace, and it may well happen in stages rather than all at once. We're holding dates lightly on purpose: we'd rather tell you the moment something is genuinely confirmed than promise a date and have to change it. Keep an eye here and on our socials.
Who will be leading each congregation?
CV Central will be led by Adam & Gaby — with Gaby spending this first year training with Vineyard College — and CV South by Alex & Lara Lyne. All of them have been raised up within our own church family.
Will my Sunday change?
Our heart is for Sundays to feel like home wherever you gather. As we move — possibly in stages, with some gatherings finding their home at Old Palace before others — there may be a few temporary arrangements, and we'll always give you clear notice. The welcome, worship and teaching won't change — just, eventually, the room.
What is CV South — and is it "lesser"?
Not at all. CV South is a full congregation with its own family feel for the south of the borough, led by Alex & Lara Lyne. It shares the same values, kids and youth content and central support as everywhere else in CV.
How can I help right now?
Pray, give, and put your hand up to serve. Getting the building ready will take many hands across many skills — practical, creative, hospitable. Let us know you're up for it.
Where is Old Palace, and how do I get there?
On Old Palace Road in central Croydon, inside the one-way system so it's quieter than you'd expect for somewhere so central. It's a short walk from East and West Croydon stations, well served by bus and tram, and has on-site parking — unusual for the town centre.
I've got a question that isn't here.
We'd love to hear it. Email us at hello@croydonvineyard.org.uk and one of the team will get back to you. You can also revisit the fuller 3·2·1 background and giving information any time.
